Most people think that being an attractive person is simply all about your appearance and the clothes you wear. We tend to believe that to become an attractive person we must spend long hours in the gym perfecting our bodies or spend enormous amounts of time in front of a mirror to make ourselves look more attractive for others.

While being in shape and dressing well are important aspects of a pleasant and attractive appearance, becoming an attractive person has much more to do with who you are on the inside, and how you communicate those enduring qualities to other people.

You can be a great person on the inside; you can have all of the enduring qualities a human being can have. But, if you cannot communicate those qualities to those around you, then they will fail to see all of the wonderful aspects of who you are on the inside.

With this in mind, we can see that to become an attractive person requires two aspects. The first is to develop those inner qualities that make us more magnetic and appealing to our fellow human beings, and the other is developing the ability to communicate those qualities in an effective and engaging manner.

Approachability

Learn to become more approachable for other people. This is simply another way of saying that you should learn to become a friendlier person. Instead of shying away from others and retreating to a corner, make it clear that you are a person who welcomes others.

This can be achieved by the way you carry yourself, or in other words, your body language. Smiling more, having open arms, and simply being more relaxed and confident are traits that people find highly attractive.

For instance, would you be willing to hug someone who is folding their arms even if they asked for a hug as opposed to if they had their arms open as well? Of course not.

Keep this example in mind the next time you WANT others to approach you and be friendly with you. It always begins with you. If you want people to be friendlier towards you, then be friendlier towards others.

Open-mindedness

If you want to become a more attractive person, perhaps you could try to be more open-minded when it comes to other people.

What this means is that you are not only approachable in how you welcome the presence of others, but you also welcome their ideas and opinions.

This doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything someone else says and does, but what it means is that you are willing to understand their points of view rather than rejecting them outright.

Open-mindedness is today's society is not as common as you would think. You would usually find that people with a high level of open-mindedness have no problems attracting friends and other positive people into their lives because they genuinely value the ideas and beliefs of others.

Authenticity

Remember how people are always telling you to be yourself? Well, that's because deep down inside, we all want other people to be who they are. It is important that you communicate who you truly are on the inside as much as possible, but always remembering to do it in an attractive way.

To be more authentic is to be REAL with people. People love real people. This means that you should not put on a front for others just to get them to like you, or not like you for that matter. You will find that the more authentic you become as a person, the more authentic friendships and relationships you will begin to attract for that very reason.

Being truly authentic is a fail proof way to attract more fulfilling people into your social circle. As you become more of your true self, you will find that there will be some people who simply cannot harmonize with you, but you will also find that there are many who can. And they will do so with increasing interest in you, simply because you are committed to being true to yourself and to them as well.
